Pageant Registration

Pageant Fees

A one-time nonrefundable registration fee will be collected for participants and escorts. Your registration will entitle 1 (one) canine participant admission to 1 (one) competition, along with 1 (one) human escort. In other words, one registration will get you in to the Philadelphia pageant OR the New York pageant. To enter both pageants, you will need to register (and pay the registration fee) twice.

One Parent Per Pet

Additional escorts will need to purchase $10 general admission tickets, available at the door and online. Registration will open 30 minutes prior to the event start time at the door for an additional fee. Online registration and credit card processing will be handled by a third party, and additional processing fees may apply. Online registration will close on the Friday immediately proceeding the event start date.

Pre-Register & Arrive Early

All participants, whether pre-registered or registering at the door, should plan to ARRIVE 30 MINUTES PRIOR to the advertised event start time to finalize registration. The Pageant will start promptly and latecomers may be turned away. There will be a limit of 20 entrants.

Competition Categories

Participants will compete for category honors until the grand prize final competition. All participants will compete in three preliminary categories - active wear, glamor wear and talent. In each portion of the event, participants will be limited to 30 seconds on stage. This amount of time is subject to change and left to judges' discretion. There are no requirements regarding clothing or talents -- Participants are encouraged to be creative!

Scoring

Category Winners

A panel of judges will award 3 scores on a 10-point scale in each category (for a possible combined score of 30 points). One top-prize winner will earn honors for top score in each category for a total of 3 category winners.

Grand Prize Winner:

The 4 participants with the greatest combined scores (not necessarily category winners) will qualify for the grand prize final competition. The grand prize winner will be determined by audience applause in as few as 1 or as many as 3 rounds. The applause will be monitored at the discretion of the pageant host. In the event of a tie, audience members will be allowed to vote only once.

Participant escorts are responsible for providing adequate food and water for participants during the event, as well as curbing participants in a proper manner (leashed, trained, house-broken, etc.).
